Event Description

NPR Music is proud to introduce our newest series, “Tiny Desk Talks” fueled by Lagunitas Brewing Company, kicking off in September 2018. These four can’t-miss, curated conversations will feature celebrated voices in the music and public radio space and cover topics like recording performances, soundtracking for film and television, getting music on the radio and more. The Tiny Desk Talks will convene local communities of musicians, music lovers, public radio supporters and industry movers and shakers to talk about the challenges and opportunities in modern day music-making.

NPR Music, Lagunitas Brewing Company, WMOT and WPLN invite you to our Tiny Desk Talk in Nashville, Tenn.:

Finding Your Sound: How Emerging Artists Enter The Mainstream.

How does a young artist find her sound? Confronted with a talented person still forming her artistic vision, what can a producer contribute? Join this conversation between Dave Cobb -- known for his groundbreaking work with Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Amanda Shires, Brandi Carlile and many others -- and Savannah Conley, a Nashville native who's been working with Cobb as she enters the music mainstream.
