Join NPR Music, WAMU and Lagunitas Brewing Company for a celebration of the 2018 Tiny Desk Contest winner: Naia Izumi
! Naia is a musician from Georgia who regularly busks on the streets of Los Angeles, where he now lives. He impressed the judges with his intricate, complex guitar playing and his sweet, emotive voice. The video he submitted for "Soft Spoken," recorded in the home studio he has built in his garage, showcases the incredible skillfulness and gentle spirit he brings to his music. Contest judge and All Songs Considered co-host Bob Boilen described Naia’s talent as “bubbling and ready to blossom,” and we’re so excited to take him on the road with us!
NPR Music and Lagunitas Brewing Company are teaming up with our local Member station WAMU to welcome our new winner. Join us for food, drink and a performance by Naia here at NPR's headquarters.
to learn more about Lagunitas.
Doors open at 7:30. Show starts at 8:00
